Another day, another record for Simone Biles.
Biles became the first woman in 30 years, and first American ever, to win a medal in every event Saturday, claiming gold on the floor exercise and a bronze on balance beam at the world gymnastics championships. She’d already won golds in the team competition, all-around and vault, as well as a silver on uneven bars.
No woman had medaled on every event since Daniela Silivas of Romania at the 1988 Olympics.
The six medals give Biles 20 for her career, matching the career record for a female gymnast, held by Svetlana Khorkina. Biles already has the record for most overall world titles, by a man or woman, now with 14.
